BIPOC communities will be engaged, supported, and heard. BIPOC communities will feel supported and safe in the broader PEI community.
BIPOC USHR is based on the values of compassion, care, cooperation, and collectivism. We carry and work with feminine energy and recognize the efforts of all BIPOC women and non-binary folks in our collective struggle, along with the struggles of BIPOC cisgender heterosexual men.
Providing outreach and follow-up services addressing the social and emotional needs of BIPOC individuals
Assessing needs and support, connecting to resources, advocating, system navigation, identifying system gaps
Providing navigation support and advocacy around issues of justice, education, health care, housing, employment, discrimination, and other needs as they arise
There is so much in this world impacting BIPOC communities and we have lots of thoughts and feelings around it all
